Speaker: Fred Dunn
Frederick Dunn is an American beekeeper, educator, and photographer renowned for his expertise in backyard honey bee management and his documentation of honey bee biology and behavior through photography and video.[1] A Cornell University Certified Master Beekeeper, Dunn has maintained apiaries on his rural property in the northeastern United States since acquiring his first hives in 2007, focusing on small-scale operations with survivor honey bee stock across various hive configurations.[1] He manages approximately 15 colonies and conducts practical evaluations of beekeeping equipment to benefit novice and experienced keepers alike.[1] Dunn shares his knowledge through educational presentations at beekeeping events and conferences, emphasizing accessible, low-intervention practices suitable for backyard enthusiasts.
Because of Dunn’s online popularity, we anticipate a higher-than-normal interest in the event. Seating is limited to the first 200 current annual members and lifetime members who RSVP. Renew your membership now to ensure your status is active and to allow us to streamline the check-in process the night of the banquet.
